how is it I can drop off eggs at the PO sent priority and they can get to the east coast FASTER than they can to southern Oregon?!??? Can someone explain that one???? Boggles the mind!

No clue, but my eggs sent from GA had a shorter trip than eggs sent from CA. I agree. Completely mind-boggling!

I get that they're on trucks as opposed to planes but three days for less than 400 miles?!?!? I could've driven them myself.

Yes, but to drive you'd need to use gas. Would your gas costs be less than postage?

Course not. It's just crazy that for the same money they made it to PA in less time than they will make it to the same state. I checked te tracking and they're supposed to be delivered to her tomorrow. It's just madness!

Hey! Sorry -- just saw your pm. I tend to leave the site open while working on other stuff, so I'm "here" a lot more than I'm actually here!

My tracking seems to be a day off. The website thinks that I'll magically get my boxes the same day they arrive in PDX. They have to drive 2 hrs to Eugene, be sorted again, drive another 1/2 hr to CG, be re-sorted and then sent on a rural route. That takes at least 2 more days.

I think next time I'm gonna have stuff shipped to my sister in Eugene.

Not a chance now, but my old motorcycle that got 75 mpg probably could have saved the day
Granted- it killed your body going on long drives being all hunched over like that! I drove from VT to Boston on that thing once (6 hours) then back to vt for a weekend and barely could stand up when I got home!!
