it just stinks that with LESS birds, he's complaining. I guess he isn't really complaining, just wants me to watch what I bring in, and said no to those turkeys!!! And, in all reality, I don't need six roosters.I can at least get rid of two of them and focus on my breeding plans and not "oh, but he's nice and too pretty to get rid of". Still stinks though, lol.

has anyone here seen all white ameraucanas, are they rare? I can get a breeding pair for a good price but not sure if they are worth fooling with

I've seen a few here with them. Others might like them, but with my production breeds that are all white, I need more color, lol.

all white, yes seen them, rare no....... quality whites might be less common to come by.

My CCLs are really starting to lay. 4 eggs from that pen today and 2 have come to size. All test eggs are veining nicely. Very soon they'll be able to earn their keep! Here's a few pics for when I start swapping. The roo is missing some feathers off of his back. He valiantly fought with a hawk and saved 5 of 6 of his girls. The pen is now covered.

Sonew so sad to hear about Princess. I was expecting to find losses as we got down to 15 last night which is crazy here! We don't put heat in the coop so it was a major concern.

so I candled all eggs last night day 10 and I have 4 infertal and 4 blood rings out of 36 eggs. so 77% are growing strong! not as bad as I thought, still more blood rings than normal though...gonna lower humidity a bit
