So the health department guy comes by yesterday to tell us we don't have to get rid of any of the chickens as they found no violations. And we are ALLOWED to have poultry.

YA THINK!!

Despite what the neighbors have to say we do not have flocks of chickens and geese living in our living room!!

He comes to the door and I peek out the window, DH wasn't home and the guys say's I have good news!!

Right. They tried to BULLY us into getting rid of our chickens because some neighbor of ours here in Nowhere Indiana has some "political connections"

Whatever. Now we have an attorney on retainer.

I think I'll go buy some more chickens, nope make that roosters

Here are pictures of the 3 black chicks that hatched. I had a 100% hatch with my Doms and Buffs in the incubator with them, but for some reason, 2 of the eggs developed and decided not to hatch. That's okay, though. I'm in LOVE with these 3!!!

They came out to play in my room for the pictures. They are inside in a brooder right now with some Silkies, Buffs, Doms, and Coronation Sussex since temps went from 80 to 50 in one day...

Evening all. My girls are laying like crazy so Ive got more eggs to go out saturday if anyone is interested in side swap. I got 41 plus tomorrows and thats not counting last sat and sun which we had for breakfast

. Anyway, I got silkies in black, white, and partridge, and old english game, standard not bantams (bb reds). I can split these into 2 swaps or if someone wants them all we can do that also. I would like tolbunts, cream legbars, seramas, sfh, ect., ect. If interested pm me and let me know what you want to swap. Thanks, Clarence

One is definitely darker than the others. I was wondering if some blues got in there. Either way, I'm going to be putting them in my lavender (self blue) pen for new blood. So, blue and black will go well with the lavender genes. Thanks again!!!!!!! You do an INCREDIBLE job of packing your eggs!
