I was so disappointed.... I had 16 White Orp eggs from Hinkjc and I candled them.... nothing, not one thing in any of them. Had 7 the same was a few weeks back. Apparently not a good time for White Orps. Hopefully Susan's will be perfect, they will go in the incubator tonight.

OK I think this is the route I am taking to VA Beach and back. Northern route going down, southern route coming back up. Points on map are there to force it to route me where I want to go, not exactly where I am stopping. If you are along my route or can meet me near my route I will transport chickens! (Or whatever as long as it is legal!

) I am driving down March 14-15 not sure where I am stopping yet and coming back March 28-29. I think I will stop near Cincinnati coming back.

Your chicks and ducks will be so big by then!

Ok, need advice on cleaning my sportsman incubator. We keep incubating eggs in continually and use the bottom to hatch. So... there is always something in there so I need to find out the best way to clean it with eggs in it. Suggestions??

Oxine as it wont bother your eggs still being incubated.

Pull the hatcher out after each batch, spray with the hose to knock off heavy stuff, brush the rest off and spray with Oxine

Wipes down the inside with oxine and use the brush attachment on a vacuum to pull out the dander


Pulling the still setting eggs out for a weekly scrub down wont truly hurt them

I have some of Susan's white orps hatching right now! 5/5 made it to lockdown, two are hatched and two more are pipped!

So I placed an order with Meyer for some setting trays and incubator parts. Shipping conf# email tells me I am getting everything but my 6 universal hatching trays (my main reason for the order) . So I look my order up online and it is missing the last line with the trays, so I find my email for the order and everything is there. I online chat and she tells me that I only ordered one large tray, I tell her yes but, I also ordered the 6. And I copy my original order email and paste it to the chat thread and she says, "[Barb] Sorry for the confusion. The computer completely dropped the 6 Universal Egg Racks, but charged you. I will get the problem corrected and get the additional egg racks shipped out." and then goes on to say, "[Barb] I have placed a new order for those 6 Universal Egg Racks for you at no cost since you had already been billed for them. It is order #305879. You should receive an e-mail confirming this order. They will be shipping separately from the other items. I am sorry for any trouble or inconvenience this may cause." ..... Really..... you are going to get them to me at no cost since I was already billed for them... Really....did you expect me to pay for them twice and only receive them once???? WOW! I wonder how many people have this happen and never catch it?

Really wanting white orps... I have spent around $100 from HinksJC to get eggs that didn't hatch. I know you always take that risk when incubating shipped eggs but, 100% loss is just a bit unfair.
