Man I know culling is necessary but it still makes me cry!

I know I'm doing them justice but its just heartbreaking. But less heartbreaking then watching them just die.

I hate when it's my fault as well!

I was banding chicks and one of the little buff Fav's started squirming like crazy an it fell out of my hand hit the table and then the floor. It seemed fine all day yesterday and last night but it was just laid peeping like in a ball. I looked it over and it looked like there was internal damage. Very dark blood/bruising in the belly area. I just couldn't take it. So I made the decision and culled it.

I know I did the right thing but man that's difficult stuff!

I'm so sorry. That is the hardest decision to make, but it was also the kindest.

I need to do an interview for one of my classes, does anyone grow plants/vines/crops in addition to chickens?

If so would you be willing to chat with me for a bit? I'd rather talk to someone I sort of know that to start cold-calling the nurseries and farms around here.

Yup (I have an extensive Hosta collection and help my bro in law with his Hosta/Aquatic Garden Nursery).

It is hard every time! :(

Does anyone here know if I have Marraduna Basque and Gold Laced Wyandotte eggs together in the incubator will I be able to distinguish the chicks, or do I need to keep them separate? I have never hatched either breed before this. If anyone is looking for GLW chicks, let me know. I will probably sell all or most of them. I misread an auction and bid on them thinking they were something else. Duh! LOL
