Ok so our darn American goose laid an egg (weeks ago now) we set it testing fertility with a group of sebbie eggs. She then QUIT laying, not egg bound, no stress just quit. Till this week and now she is all nesting and gave us another egg. lol I hope she doesnt wait 30 days between eggs again

The Dewlap Toulouse geese are also now laying

Blackbrookspoultry has some too (she is on this swap). She is the one I got my Lemon Blue Cochins from, they are adorable and sweet as can be. I would highly recommend her

How often do birds like that lay? Once a week?
Geese lay about every other day. Some breeds average 30-40 eggs a season (spring only laying) some only 20 and some are laying machines laying over 40 a season

Quote: oh no, I have old iron items that are in a frame and hung on the wall.

I am officially done buying birds. I just won my last auction and I'm so thrilled. Time to grow all these chickies out!

congrats!!
Thank you! I'm so glad DH isn't here. I have chicks everywhere and the house is like a maze what with the puppy blockades and chicken stuff. Now that I have an empty pen I just need a good weekend to work on cleaning it and moving chicks around.
