have you candled yet?  are they all viable?  Hey I just figured out how to edit on this dang blasted thing! Woot!!!

The 14 going into lockdown next week all look developing. The other 40 just got put into yesterday and today. I will definitely be candling in a few days to check.

Too be fair, I think there's only like 3 silkie eggs in there!

I have a still air I use as a hatcher... Maybe I will just have to put some in there. I don't want to risk it though haha

I feel like a horrible hatcher...I had 7 hatch out of 28 eggs in lockdown. 3 Died while externally pipping, 3 died after internally pipping, and 3 might not have been alive at lockdown...that's the third hatch in a row! Maybe even 5th...the only good hatch I ever had was the first one.

I'm so excited. Looks like I'll be processing my current useless one.

Whole pen of lovely ladies and he hasn't looked at one of them. Not even a crow from him and his 16 weeks old.

I might have to SHOOT your rooster!!! He is crazy!!! He escaped his pen, is running around in the pitch black screaming and crowing like a lunatic. If he doesn't settle down and roost where I can get him. I'm going to shoot him, eat him, and ship you a 10 week old one. LOL UGH

I do think your 16 week old will grow up in another 2 months though....all my bresse walk differently than the rest of my chickens....

Just did a re-con of the incubator. Since one batch is currently hatching, that leaves 54 chicken eggs and six turkey eggs. Four hatch dates in March. I candled the ones that are nine days in, and of eight cuckoo/blue cuckoo Marans eggs, one looks clear, but may be a slow bloomer. The rest are developing. Of eight Barnevelders from Pysankygirl, same thing. One clear, the rest developing. A dozen EE/OE eggs from KYtinpusher look to have two clears, but the rest look like they are developing, too! Those are mighty fine numbers for shipped eggs! Hopefully, they will all make it to lockdown!

60 eggs. That bator is dang near empty!

Are you sure? My hens walk fine. If you think he'll grow up I can give him time. I hate processing a bird I paid for.
