Not going to try to read thru all those post. Just an update on whats been going on with my family. My son is in the hospital with severe dehydration from vomiting all day yesterday. He has kidney function problems any way so this doesn't help. He is special needs and the whole situation scares him. Had a hard time getting IV site to start fluids. No vomiting since yesterday. So that is a good thing. Got to go the dr is here. Keep us in your prayers.

Good morning to all! Chores are done in a heavy, chilly rain. The chickens were not pleased when they stepped outside! Chickies are doing well. Next lockdown is the 5th, with eggs from DMRippy and Pysankygirl, both sets developing nicely. Three more hatch dates set this month.

I'm hoping I can get my NPIP this summer instead of next winter. Then I can do the Virginia paperwork in time for fall eggs. If things don't work out for me to do so, I'll just stick to the original plan and get it during the winter. I have to shut off the incubator for a while to do it! Horrors! But, best now before I have good birds at breeding age and me wanting to set all their eggs! I also want to look into how to ship chicks and older birds well. I think Celtic Oaks should write a tutorial on that! And I know I can get proper boxes from them when the time comes. NPIP first, though.

Enjoy the day, the storms, the wind and the wet. More or less.
