A nice cool day here in fl for my 28th birthday

Had a chick die last night in a grow out pen (buff leghorn pullet

) and the other chicks kind of dismembered it

so that was a yucky and lousy day to start the day. I only have one buff leghorn pullet left that I am certain of, but I am thinking there may be one more with a bigger comb. The cockerels are all starting have the combs turn red, and this one is not turning red and its slightly smaller so, maybe I will get a trio out of these guys. I has hopin for a quad minimum, but I will take
What I can get.
It is my birthday too! Happy birthday ! It was snowing in Alabama the day I was born. So sorry about the leghorn.

Here's to you Sah & Bama.

Oh I love it ! I was raised in a broiler house in the late 60's, in a backpack on my mother's back as she picked up the daily deads, disassembled and reassembled the augger feeder, and shoveled and shoveled. i loved the chickens, and would get any little black chicks that arrived in the shipment, for some reason the white chicks were afraid of them? My mother lurks BYC, she isnt a member. I got my birthday card from her and dad yesterday, and inside it she had printed off a post from BYC member https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/642754/a-poem-for-all-chicken-lovers-a-must-read-delight

OK just wanted to ask if anyone has any good audio books on CD or MP3? I would love to borrow for my trip. I like mystery and romance. Listening to a book makes the drive go quicker!
stop at a cracker barrel....you can rent audio cds! basically you pay for them then they refund the money back minus the rental fee (about $3.50/week) it is so much cheaper than going to buy them and only listening to them once.
