Uh then she might offer you the "leftover" chicks from the hatch at a good price since she is shipping to you anyway. That is the SECRET to getting the great GFF deals. So frequent buyers have a better chance of getting the deals.

Go on USPS online and order boxes. They are free and free delivery.

I ordered boxes several times. They haven't yet sent the boxes I really need. Its odd, they will send one box of boxes at a time.

It may be more like your PO might be keeping them if they aren't getting boxes. I've never had a problem getting mine and I usually order 6 boxes/25 each.

I have been working out a deal for some cream legbar pullets.

They are here!!!!!!! they are in great shape. One box laid 3 eggs but ate one and the other box had 1 egg so I have a total of 3 eggs to boot! They are in a temp cage drinking and eating before I get them to their chicken tractor.
The lady at the PO was tickled to see them and the eggs. An older lady came in to get her mail off and was looking in the box and giggling at the eggs. She said it made her day to see birds at the PO with blue eggs.

Just wanted to say THANKYOU! to CJ for sending me such pretty birds and nice and healthy! The PO lady said they were nice and healthy and FAT! as she picked up the box putting them on the counter. Then she finally heard me say there was 4 total..... She said well still FAT as she had to pick the boxes up.....

Oh and I also have at least two Bourbon hens laying 1-2 eggs a day now so as soon as fertility is confirmed I'll be shipping and offering those bad boys!!!!!

A lady here in town has them! I just got two shipped from crazypetlady too, so if I get lucky, one of the shipped will go and be a roo, and there will be hens from the others, so I'll have a nice, unrelated breeding pen! Whooooop! And in like 6 months I'll have eggies to offer

Ok. Ameruacana question. I always assumed a black pea comb meant an EE... Is that correct? After googling, I can't confirm it... I just thought a true Am had to have red pea comb

There are lots of things that make an Ameraucana an Ameraucana but a Red Comb is a requirement. Slate colored legs, most are solid color, pea comb, muff and beards and blue egg genes just to name a few.
