I was SO SAD that I missed all the great swapping last night BEFORE I checked in here.

830 posts later...holy cow were there some great offers thrown out!!!

Unfortunately I had to appease the husband who is helping me to build another coop this weekend and he wanted to go out to dinner and a movie. (But it will be SO COOL. But it will have almost 20 LF of roost so that means 20 more chickens I can keep!!!!! Sometimes marriage is sacrifice, especially if you want to get a new chicken coop!!!!)

But if anyone wants to side trade for Pysanky, let me know. I have done some new ones that I need to photograph. I was particularly intrigued by the raspberry/vegetable/comfrey starts. All the wonderful chicks were probably out of my league. (although it isn't like I don't have chicks...I just have NO experience in shipping them for reciprocating.)

Is white a throw back?
I will guess 3, even though I have no idea if white is a common CCL trait
white comes from the recessive white gene. My rooster and at least one of my hens carry it. when both parents express the gene in the chick, it produces a yellowish chick that will grow into a white bird. Recessive white I do believe blocks all color in the bird. But they still lay blue eggs.

zero will hatch white from madams CCL hatch
I would be shocked if that happened.

I'm bummed. We're putting down our old tom turkey today, Bob. He would have been eight years old next month. He's been having leg problems this winter, which actually appears to be gout, but this morning he was on his back. Righting him was temporary. Poor old guy. We're gonna miss him.

I know how hard that is. So sorry you have to do that. It's hard to replace good boys.
