Evening everyone! I'm going to post a few pics of the normal looking faverolle and one of the white ones. Tell me what you think. I don't know enough about the breed to sex them and I'm not sure if they are direct siblings or how many roos/hens could have laid the eggs so I don't know if I should breed them and if they will throw all whites again...???

Those aren't Favs. I'm not sure what they are, but they aren't Favs. The Salmon Favs will have feathered feet and 5 toes. I can send some more eggs, but unless something crossed, those wouldn't be mine. I'll send more Favs just in case because they are laying like crazy right now.

Yesterday was a bit of a bad day for me, although it ended on a better note. My 2.5 year old Ford Escape Hybrid had its break system go out on Friday. It's a new car with low miles. Turns out that even though this is a known defect, it is not covered under warranty or recall and will cost around 7k. I am absolutely floored that it is in the realm of possibility that you would need to pay that much money for a repair on a new car. I don't know what I am going to do about it either. This is the first time I have bought a nice, newer car for myself. I am kinda heartbroken about it.

I do have chicks hatching and chicken love to tide me over for now, and have been pretty chipper about life in general. Four chicks hatched and a few more working on it. I will see where we are at when I get home. Feeling a bit irritated right now about shady dealers though

Hi, everyone! I just skipped 17 pages of chat. We have had a busy day. The Mayo clinic has extended our stay until Monday! OUCH! DH is going to have to do a one way car rental back to Arkansas, and I will have to drive home after we get out of our last tests and doctor consult on Monday. It is about a 12 hour drive. I then have to be at work at about 6:00 AM on Tuesday to try to get caught up with my cost estimate that has to be finished by Tuesday morning.

I'm not sure what to do sitting in a hotel room for most of the weekend in Rochester,MN. DS has to do multiple blood and urine tests.

We are looking at multiple trips up here. Finances are going to be strained to the max. Goodbye any vacation time for DH and me this year. We will have to alternate making the trips up.

No, I always say, if you are going to lie about your age, say you are older than you are. People will look at you and think, "man, she has held up really well". If you lie and say you are younger, they will look at you and think "what the h*ll happened to her?"

That's what I always say! I don't understand why anyone would WANT to lie and say they were younger...I love it when people are shocked when I tell them my age!

These do have feathered feet...not five toes. What in the world would they be? They came out of eggs marked faverolles. LOL...

I have 3 chicks who are in the middle of an identity crisis. I messaged you about the two others I had eggs from in that hatch.

When to assist in a hatch? I had one that was super glued to the shell, poor thing dragged that shell all over the bator. I have another that is still alive, halfway zipped since 1 and pipped last night. No other pips. Should I assist???

Our Flemish doe's babies are so BIG at two weeks most are as long or longer than my hand now, eye are opening and they are super cute!

Okay you darn Rabbit people are starting to break me down.... I am looking at Lionhead's online. They are small and sweet. Or maybe Velveteens? I'd have to do more research. But both are fine as frog hair!
