Good morning, OK to everyone I have Orp assortments or Choco Orps owed, to bare with me I have several broody hens

and a Lavender that lays when she wants

, as soon as we gather them I will ship them we will go down the list in order for priority, if you would rather have SFH they are laying everyday. We do have 3 Choco Orp pullets at POL so

. I am so happy this fall I won't have to depend on just one or two hens in my Orps, we are growing out some new blood lines for both Lavenders(which are looking great at about 10 weeks old) and also some Lemon Cuckoo's.

So bare with me if you will. Thanks very much, we will still be shipping just a little slower than we hoped, I have had so many broody hens this year, it must be contagious.

No worries here. I need to wait anyways. My black bantam Sumatra is like your lavender, was getting an egg almost every day, until I a make a swap that involves her egg...then she quit period and my LF Sumatra hen, decideds she need to step on every egg and put a hole in it...

don't they know I can't swap with eggs like that?
and speaking of LCO...I just put 6 double barred lemon cuckoo english orps in lockdown

Am I the only one that is wondering when spring is supposed to happen , I took a lot of swaps over the last 8 months that were supposed to ship in spring and havent heard anything from those folks unless I contact them, shouldnt you update someone if you owe them something , maybe I'm the only one who thinks this way , I get excuses when I ask about whats going on with the swaps I claimed , is anyone else concerned ? never did like this idea of swapping egg's before they are laid seems like I remember hearing something about "not counting your egg's"
Just wondering if I am the only one.

No John you are not the only one wondering how long it will be before we start getting our spring eggs.... I guess they have until the first day of Summer (21 June I think) but it would still be nice to know how much longer we have to wait before we start seeing some eggs rolling in.....

john, could be some peoples birds arent laying well enough if at all. the weather has been screwy, even the groundhog was wrong about spring...lol. or maybe they have forgotten....it doesnt hurt anything to make the first gesture and contact people on what they owe you....

I still owe a few NJ swaps. The girls are laying, one or two eggs every couple of days, not enough to ship fresh. I want to play pop-a-mole with them, but then I wouldn't get any eggs at all, lol. If someone wants to substitute CCL eggs for their NJ swaps, please PM me.

I guess a lot of the problem I have is I have contacted and get a bunch of run around , my real problem with it is that I took the swaps thinking their birds were just not laying at the time and now I find out they had chicks at the time and were offering egg's from them and didn't say that , just sketchy not how I do business. I'm not trying to cause problems just chatting

Yep, my codes. They are my pen codes.
BxBC = Beakman (mottled roo) x Buff Columbian looking girls (Byron x Bridgette daughters).
JxMF = Junior (Byron x Millie) x my best 3 MF patterned girls and the Smutty BC w/ nice type.

What did the BxBC chick come out colored like? Somewhere along the lines, I managed to get 4 black chicks 2 hatches ago. I was wondering if they were from this pen. I need to get some suet holders to separate the eggs in the hatcher.


CPL - I hatched 2 Tolbunts! And about 40 other chicks in the last day and a half.

I hatched a black chick from the BxBC egg and 2 brownish from the JxMF eggs. As soon as the 2 J egg chicks dry up I will get pics. The B chick hatched in the cabinet and was dry and already in a brooder.

No problems caused, communication is key when swapping or dealing with sales. I for one am sorting our owed swaps and trying to stay in touch. Although I keep feeling like I am missing one or two from my list.

Anyone having swap issues PLEASE feel free to PM the moderators, we cant fix what we dont know is broken and want everyone to swap KNOWING they WILL get what they claim and when it is due to them.

I only have two outstanding swaps that I know of for eggs (and one for pysanky that I need to send out...sorry Mzstre!!!) I have just sent them PM's with alternate arrangements proposed (since my MG discovery)

if I owe any others...please let me know so I can rectify.
