Good Morning, Happy Chicken People!

When I followed the Australian Mystery Egg thread, lots of waterfowl people gave advice on leaving duck eggs strictly alone and not helping, saying that even after pipping, they could take another day or even two. I have pysankigirl's ducks working on it. One has been pipped for a while, but hasn't started zipping. How long do I leave it alone?

I believe those are little houses that the game cock lives in. Each house will have one cock to it. These are birds that will fight other birds if given the opportunity so they are spaced just far away enough so that the cock can't get to it's neighbor.

Three days start to finish is normal



Seeing how not ALL packages go through the NE, and live birds hub in Memphis USPS has no reason to use the bombs as an excuse. Severe weather and things like the recent bombs are only excuses for delays in that market area, not the entire country.

Sorry-I owe a couple of swaps for them yet, but they are not the greatest layers. I will get eggs from each of them for four days and then nothing more for a week.

I still have not made a penny off of them-I hatched some and am now filling swaps for them.

Ooohh. I love D'uccles!!! I have a porcelain and Mille Fleur. Sweetest birds ever. China, my porcelain, will fly into my arms when I click my fingers. Love her!!! What colors do you have?
