I have potatoes and GInger Ale and Rootbeer with your name on it. SFH with mine????

I woke up yesterday after the Valium wore off and was surprised that I could see the alarm clock. I slept in my contacts, but it always took a moment for them to moisten and situate. I woke up and saw the clock across the room, clear as day. Also, I am noticing that a lot of colors seem brighter. So much fun! I feel like such a geek for being as excited about this as I am :gig

Don't! When I got mine done, I just couldn't stop saying how awesome it was. I had ASA done, instead of true LASIK, instead of making a flap they hemically burn then slough off the top layer of the cornea. It took longer to heal and it sure felt like sandpaper, but. Sooooooooo worth it haha

I am about fed up with broody hens. I had 3 serema hens sitting on 15 serema eggs and none of them hatched. You would think with 3 hens sitting on them at least some of them would hatch. Also had a jersey giant hen sitting on 10 eggs they started hatching late last night and today. This morning there were 5 babies 1 cream legbar roo and 3 polish and 1 light brahma. Went out this afternoon about 7 to gather my eggs. I checked to see if any more have hatched and I was down to 3 chicks 2 polish and 1 light brahma. She had ate 2 of the chicks. I am not putting anymore eggs under broody hens.

Oh no! I'm so sorry! This makes me nervous. I finally broke down and gave some of my girls eggs to hatch. My first broody only has 5 left because my goose tried to pull her off the nest and broke 2 eggs. The remaining eggs should hatch in 4 days. I'm anxious about how it's going to go.

I am sorry to hear the broody horror story. I have only had two broodys, one just hatched this week. She still had one egg under her, so I left her in the nesting box. One of the other hens kicked her off to lay an egg (who knows why... There's a perfectly good nesting box right next to it) and pecked a chick in the eye. Luckily, besides bleeding, the eye is ok... They got moved to their own coop after that. Luckily, that is the worst I have dealt with.

Don't qet nervous...most of the time they do qreat, sorry about the qoose breakinq the eqqs, thouqh...
I have 7 under a broody due to hatch tomorrow... I should take my own advice and relax...not!!! the two that Id really hate to lose are in the incubator still...hopinq to slip them under her after they hatch.

Whewie! I think my hatch is finished, but now I have pekins and buttons due, with one pekin pipped... ON THE WRONG END! Since nobody else was pipped, I popped in to turn him around and got smacked in the face with funk. A tiny button egg was seeping and FOUL! So, I moved them all to the sportsman and tore the LG down for a scrubbing. I swear it was so nasty that the funk in there grew teeth and started growling at me. I'm getting another LG on Tuesday from a friend, so they'll be my sole hatchers from now on. My humidity is just too high. Even though I used to always hatch in there, for some reason it's a problem now. :/

OH! I NEED to hear more about this. I'm not a candidate for LASIK, but they talked to me a bit about ABA. It was very scary! I work on computers all day long and they told me that my eyes could take 8 weeks before they would heal enough to be able to see my computer screen. They made it sound like there was a possibility my vision would never get better.

I had the Lasik done about 13 years ago. It lasted for 10 years then you have to go back for revisions. The revisions cost as much as the orginal Lasik procedure. So I am back to wearing glasses. It was good while it lasted.
