OH! I NEED to hear more about this. I'm not a candidate for LASIK, but they talked to me a bit about ABA. It was very scary! I work on computers all day long and they told me that my eyes could take 8 weeks before they would heal enough to be able to see my computer screen. They made it sound like there was a possibility my vision would never get better.

Well, I saw very well right out of the procedure. I had a little clouding, and was pretty uncomfortable for a week. Very sensitive to light. After two weeks, I felt fully healed and had 20/20. I have what my doctor calls a slow 20/20. Unless I focus on things, I don't see things as clearly as I should. I had astigmatism is both eyes and had -6.0 contact prescription. I wasn't a good candidate for LASIK either, thin corneas.
I would say you would need two weeks at minimum for healing if you are looking at a computer a lot. I would imagine that irritating and stressing your eyes with that particular procedure.

My optometrist said I may be eligible for ASA, not LASIK because I'm -8.5/-8.0. I've been at the same prescription for at least 5 yrs, so I was wondering about it too. I wasn't really feeling that 1wk healing period. But then, I don't particularly like the hassle of contacts.

OH! and I never got an answer...

Could this chick be a Olandsk Dwarf? I swear it hatched form CPL's eggs (was labeled as a Tolbunt). Only others I had hatch were EEs, Ams, MF Cochins, Tolbunts and Orps. It's a bantam. It has faint chipmunk stripes on it's head.

If anyone is interested, I have 24 silkie eggs (from black and white pens) plus tomorrows and 17 black dutch bantams plus tomorrows that i would side swap for something. If anyone wants them pm me what you have.
cmon, I know someone wants these and I'm easy, make me an offer

I kinda remember being able to see the clock, but I bought one of those with GIANT numbers so I could see it without my glasses LOL. I could see cell phone towers from the Dr.'s office about 20 miles away the day of the surgery.

The drive home was enlightening too. Like you EVERYTHING was bright and so colorful.

Some of my ODs hatch out that color. It's hard to tell because I'm on my phone - does the chick have a slightly darker elongated spot on its head? All my yellows have the spot. Sometimes it's hard to tell because there isn't much color variation. ETA: LOL! I just read the 2nd half of your post about the chipmunk stripe on its head. Yep. Probably OD! :D
