Good Morning, Happy Chicken People!

I counted yesterday. 147 chickens, plus four that aren't mine. 37 turkey poults. Four button quail. I am, of course, not counting what's in the incubator.

Good morning!

Got my new electronic thermostat wired in yesterday, looks like it is programmed to the 37.5 degrees that someone on here said, but it doesn't come on. I think it may be set to cool. I can't find on the instructions how to change it. Anyone? It may be something else because the power is on but the fan doesn't run either that is wired directly into AC. DH did it, and he knows what he is doing. I'm guessing there is something on the settings that I missed.

oooooh I candled eggs.................we are starting to see fertility in the bantam cochin pens!!! Need to trim a bit more and do another test set then can start filling swaps

G'morning peeps!! Getting everything together to go see WVstruttin this afternoon!

I have a question!! I noticed my TSC is selling game bird feed now made by Purina. I heard it's a great supplement to the regular feed but how do I add it. Can I mix it with their regular feed? And if so what is the ratio? This stuff isn't cheap but neither are my birds. So I figured this would be great to add to their diet. Any suggestions?

I am soooo happy we're supposed to have several days in a row with no rain! Maybe my bog of a yard will start to dry out.

Does anyone here have mallards?

Hollowoak - it's humorous to me that a short year ago I would have seen your count and gasped. Ummm now I understand the math behind it.

I do a top dressing of it, but I ferment my feed. So dry feeding I can't help. I top dress 1 cup per 3 bird with their other feed. Good stuff!
