Good morning!

Got my new electronic thermostat wired in yesterday, looks like it is programmed to the 37.5 degrees that someone on here said, but it doesn't come on.  I think it may be set to cool.  I can't find on the instructions how to change it.  Anyone?  It may be something else because the power is on but the fan doesn't run either that is wired directly into AC.  DH did it, and he knows what he is doing.  I'm guessing there is something on the settings that I missed.

Ouch. Unless you want a still air bator, keep the fan on its own power source (along with turners). If this is truely how you want it, you need to set the heat and cold elements, and then the fan will only come on after the bator gets too hot.

Already over. Congrats to TNB. I thought it would be harder, lol. Please PM me your address.

I was shocked :th at the offer and thought it was a neat add on to the auction. I found it in the box with the lightning balls I had purchased at an antiques auction to flip on eBay. I actually did not separate it out but have 10 people watching the item already and will see what the market will bear on the whole lot.

Yummmmm, that lamb is smelling good!

Well hubbies home and has a new job waiting on Monday, so no more over the road crud. It'll be nice to not have everything falling on my shoulders, but now we need to remind him who's the boss! LOL! Guess there will be a few struggles reworking our pecking order. We need a sign that says DON'T LISTEN TO THE ROOSTER HE'S ALL NOISE. IT'S THE HEN THAT IS IN CHARGE.

Hubby also doesn't understand why the gosling he carried around and cuddled the first weekend of its life won't go near the other geese. Poor little goose thinks he's a human now. He runs around and hides behind our feet anytime another animal comes near. He's even more spoilt since my hubby got home yesterday. Every time I turn around he's cuddling that goose. He's a brat! He's bonded to us now. When he gets older he will be an even bigger PITA. Hubby just doesn't understand about animals! I told him if he keeps that darn goose in the house he's cleaning up after it. He took it in the shower this morning! So I asked him what he was naming his new pet? The plan was not to keep anymore than one gander and three hens. If its a male I'm not getting ride of George. He's a good gander. If its a girl I'm wondering how it will react to the other geese when it's older. Man what a conundrum. He couldn't bond with a turkey? I have no problems keeping more turkeys. Merry even crawled in his lap yesterday for a cuddle.

On the bright side I have two more broody turkeys! I love broodies! They are so cute. Plus they take all the work out of raising babies. And if you keep playing with them they babies will trust you too. And today is turkey hatching day! I love turkey hatching day!

DH took out the box that was in the incubator to begin with and that is what the fan was wired to so he wired it directly into the thermostat AC which should cause it to run continuously according to him. He kept wanting to have the fan go off, and I kept telling him it was supposed to run continuously. I am a dooffus when it comes to anything mechanical or electrical. Animals like me, mechanicals bite me. LOL My chemistry professors even laughed because they would watch me do an experiment perfectly and it would fail or give weird results. Yes I am THAT person.

Sensor is working correctly because it changes the display temp when I hold the probe. Heat light is on. Delay is set to minimum 1 minute. He used crimps to connect new wire to existing wires. I don't know if I possibly need to reconnect the wires from fan and heating element into thermostat because they aren't making a good connection or what.

Anyone have any suggestions from what I have described.

I went ahead and put the Rhodebar eggs that were waiting in with my turkeys and guineas in my still air to keep them from getting older.

The card is 100+ years old and in good condition for the age so I can understand a collector paying that.
