BTW the same thing can happen in pure Ameraucanas too. I had them pop up in my Lavenders. I had one pullet I let grow up, tested her to her dad and got more white Lavenders (she hatched lavender and yellow and so did her chicks) She is now gone. I still have the chicks.... one is actually BARRED TOO.... clueless on that.

Leghorns are QUICK to sex by the combs.... I am seeing that same thing in the Legbar roo I have.

I posted some new pics in my albums today. Some of them aren't great, but I'll keep adding to them. I still have a Lavender Ameraucana hen that hasn't cooperated, but I should be able to get one of her by the weekend. I put up pics of my young BLRWs...the cockerel is going to be huge and beautiful! Some of the pics were taken in the coop, so excuse the dustiness please. I have a heck of a time getting cobwebs off the walls too lol! The interior texture of the siding on the coop is very porous and "grippy". I painted it several times, but it still grabs dust and cobwebs. Oh, well.

I know what you mean. My photos are terrible.. they are never still! They pause and then keep right on moving!

Yes, the Legbar roos are real quick to sex because their combs grown in so fast.

What happens if you breed them to each other? Wouldn't you just get more white?

If you breed the whites together, you will get all whites. Actually I was the first person who had whites hatching. I asked GFF about it and they hadn't heard of it but was more then willing to trade the hen for another one. Apparently they didn't realize they needed the rooster too.

I don't see why. They are still Legbars and auto sexable. I can sex the whites when they hatch just like I can with the regular legbars.

But they are autosexing, not sex linked, so wouldn't it be the same? Or do they get lighter so you can't see the chipmunk stripes?
