The vulture hocks started when they were younger. Out of 3 blues, 2 had the vulture hocks. I kept an eye on this one and so far so good.Thats the least favorite thing about growing them out the culling for vulture hock
You need a reciprocating saw for that. Works better than a meat saw! You can slice em anyway you want with one of them buggers.
Come....come to the turkey side...you won't regret it. Especially when one crawls in your lap for a cuddle.
Yah keep talking...you know your gonna end up with some too.
But they're midgets! They don't take up much room.![]()
It's easy peasy. I seem to hatch almost everyone I set. You'll get it and then you'll be over run with TURKEYS!![]()
Makes me wish I had talked the kid into a lighter version. They are very pretty!
I love raspberries! I have five hundred feet of bushes. Today I noticed Lily, my pullet midget, in amongst the bushes. She was plucking away. You know that means she found something she really liked. When I checked I saw she was snapping young raspberry starts off and eating them. Bad Lily, very bad Lily. Was cute though. She was pretty pleased with her tasty find. Wait until she discovers the fruit! Guess I better buy some more fencing. Stinkers.
Quote: Per the color calculator, if you breed a Columbian to a solid blue, you'd end up with all blues & blacks. So I'm guessing you'd end up with all blues (just guessing though).
He snuck up on you! Slow maturing rooster.Ok was sure my second set of Chocolates from my GFF eggs was three hens and a roo but today 2 of them were crowing, the one rooster has a bright red comb and is obvious but the other same age mind u, has no obvious signs no large red comb. How does this happen
Ohhh, I wouldn't be a happy camper with that! I put about 11 starts in and have more that arrived yesterday that need to go in when I can catch a break from the rain. The first set were dormant and haven't done anything in the past month, so I don't think they'll create plants for me.![]()
Hmmm...might have to give it a try if it is a pullet.Per the color calculator, if you breed a Columbian to a solid blue, you'd end up with all blues & blacks. So I'm guessing you'd end up with all blues (just guessing though).
Making my mom chocolate covered raspberries for tomorrow was a BAAADD idea. I've somehow managed to go almost 25 years (*gasp* midlife crisis coming on) without ever eating a fresh raspberry. Well, that quickly changed. They're so stinking good (with and without chocolate) that the two 12oz containers were starting to look like not enough!
