Anyone have pictures of bantam pens. Mainly OEGB bantam pens. I'm only looking to keep a trio of a few. Or how do you keep your bantam OEGB or similiar birds.

Is anyone here familiar with Intuit online payment system? They appear to charge a flat rate per transaction, of fifty cents, rather than a percentage. I've not used them before, but just had a wool processing company that was doing some fleeces for me ask for the balance by that method. Although it looks okay, I'm hesitant to put my banking info into a system I've never heard of, so figured I'd ask you guys. Thanks!

Check with your bank. They would know if there are issues with it or not. We once were purchasing something and they sent us the info on payment. They had a really nice website and everything looked legit. The bank found out it was a phishing scam and saved us a ton of headaches.

Intuit is the same company as Quicken (I'm sure you've heard of their accounting software). I used to use Intuit to process my credit card sales transaction. The usual rate is around 30 cents plus a percentage of the transaction amount, similar to what PayPal charges. However, it's the seller (person receiving the funds) that gets charged the transaction fees, not the buyer (person sending the funds).

You just wait until you stick your hand in the brooder and instead of them running away they all try to climb in your hand. It's so sweet! And such a change from flighty chicks. Oh and a few day old tommy all fluff and very little feather strutting is about the cutest thing I have ever seen. I could watch that all day.
Love, love, love the strutting! :D

Thanks guys. I'm going to finish filling my swaps and finish hatching what's in the incubator and whatever is coming this week, then I'm going to take a break from hatching, and figure out just where I want to go with my chickens. It's been fun, but not worth the emotional roller coaster, the dashed excitement of claiming eggs that never come, the disappointment and expense of having to replace eggs from every sale, the anger over chicks lost in shipping. I would hope you guys would tell me if there are problems with either my packing or my eggs and not keep quiet because they were swaps instead of sales. Being insulted and told to take a hike over $10 by another BYCer makes me wonder why I even bother. If I owe you a swap you haven't heard from me recently, please PM me. I don't want to overlook anybody. I've talked to sonew, caj is on hold, puglady I'm sorry I forgot, your eggs will go out in about a week, I set deb's first set of eggs yesterday, Donna your chicks will be shipped Tuesday, Amyable your eggs are being shipped tomorrow, NotAFarm your eggs are being shipped Tuesday. It think that's everybody so please let me know if I've missed you. It really means a lot that you guys want me to stay. Thank you. I just need a break, a chance to unwind, life lessons learned, write off my losses, and put it all behind me, so that when I come back I won't be bitter and ranting all the time. I sent a very unfriendly PM to she-who-shall-not-be-named today. I'm not proud of myself, but then again I felt I had nothing left to lose. Pretty sure I burned that bridge.
Take the break from the selling and swapping for the stress relief, but you should still drop in for the chatting. It helps to talk to like-minded people, and everyone would miss you :)
I can understand that totally -- I'm going through a bit of the same thing :hugs I'm going to be nervous and uncomfortable till I get all the isbar and cochin swaps out, and I definitely don't like the feeling! Also need to pare back, even though I don't really want to. Until I can start selling/swapping eggs I have to try and economize -- these guys are eating me out of house and home!! (Far too literally for my peace of mind). So I can totally support your need to take a break -- but don't leave! :hit
I need to pare down myself. My DH is overwhelmed. I so badly wanted the MF Leghorns, but I love my SFHs and the coloring and pattern is nearly the same, so I'm going to sell the leghorns. I have a pair and a trio. I just hope I'm able to find someone local who knows what they are. He wants me to sell my sebbie pair, and I'm close to agreeing to appease him.
this is pretty....for a slug
Wow! Beautiful colors!

TURKEY PIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HAVE TWO TURKEY PIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh God, now I'm all nervous... My six-month quest for turkeys might actually succeed!!!
