There is a gentleman near my home wanting to sell a Dickey's brand 300 egg incubator. I can not find out much information about the brand. He said it is a little "dirty" inside but otherwise works well. I just worry about buying used, but he is really wanting go of it (which worries me) and said I could buy for $200.00

Dickey is a small one owner business in Georgia. I have a incubator and a hatcher by Dickey!! Buy that puppy!

I think I'm going to try lining my genesis with plastic to see if it still works as well. I guess I could use plastic wrap for a trial run and have it under the water tray. They sell dry erase paint at Walmart. I bet it wouldn't destroy the styrofoam like some kind of epoxy sealer might... But I wonder if the fumes would be an issue at 99 degrees. It sure would be nice to have a coat of something on the bottom piece of the incubator.

You can get replacement parts from him if needed. I am asking DH for one of these for my bday...

I pick it up tomorrow...Talked at length with him. He said he bought some chicks last year with high expectations, but never has gotten enough eggs to hatch in a small incubator

He tested it and said it worked but he could not see keeping it to hatch 3-4 eggs at a time. maybe this is truly a blessing for me. This will definitely be Merry Christmas to me

Just say a little prayer for me that it works. As for my Hovabators, I began having withdraw symptoms as soon as I said "sell". I think I would be better off keeping them for lock down???

I would jump all over that price. I paid $250 for my Sportsman off of Craigslist and love it. I use it to incubate and then use my coolerbators for hatching.
