Another man in here but I can't even begin to keep up with this thread!!

I have a wish list for creole (sp?) orps or choc orps or any autosexing breed!!

Kraftyladies can help you with a couple of those.... maybe all

Several people have autosexing breeds.

OH I got my first GNH egg today after 9mths

Going to thin my breeds down, just in case I keep some of these that hatch

No more Olive Egger x Olive Egger Pen, No more EE pen, going to consolidate some. Got new chicks coming in the spring and eggs too.... that is just 2 pens, I have 4 breeds I may want to keep and breed coming

OK, CALM DOWN... hubby said I needed more pens LOL

I have hundreds of pallets ready to build with too. LOL

OMG! I somehow realized I was must have missed some posts and went back a few pages. Yep, definitely skipped some. Oh, if I wasn't surrounded by too many pets as it is, I would want new puppies and a horse! Wow they're all beautiful! The pics also reinforced the fact that I don't like spiders! Shiver!!! This is Charlie (my husband calls him "The Menace") who adopted us a few months ago. He was injured and abused when he started hanging around, and it took us 2 months to be able to touch him. About a week or so after he let us pet him for the first time, we walked outside one morning to find out that someone had shot him and he had made it back to our porch. Our vet fixed him up and he's now part of our crew.

What are some things on your "Christmas Wish List" I wanted the Dickey incubator and Santa came early. May have nothing under the tree now but I don't mind

That's on my wish list, but will most likely be a birthday present instead. Hmmmm... for my spring chicks to arrive early? (my jubilees, gold laced, and englsih white ) That would be a great Christmas present. Most of my wants and wishes seem to be chicken related these days. is that normal????

Am I the only person who raises lots of bantams ? Are all of you large bird folks?

Hubby likes his handful (did I really say that) of serama. He has a few big fluffy butted Eng. Orps and two "pet" ameraucana, a white Snowball and wheaten Peaches. I call the Silkies his as he has to climb the slope to take care of them most of the time and they all like him best. When "I" had my old small flock of original Jersey he liked to show people into the stall (in barn with giant doggy doors) and then laugh when they would jump out and exclaim "Them's not chickens!" My current stock is very nice but boy those old ones were something else. The BigC (Colonel) stood hip high and had toes the size of a fat man's finger 7-8in across. He was trained to duck into a #500 dog crate (extra large) and wait when we had to do anything with the girls. He was very, very good but it was best not to strain our relationship by grabbing a girlfriend in front of him =:~) His ladies, tho old and fat did go at 15.15lbs (2) 15.14, 15.13 and 15.8. So, Hubby liked to claim these to show off if only to puff out his sweet nerdy chest a bit.

My current core breeds are Barnevelder Large and Bantam, Faverolles Large and Bantam, Jersey black and blue, a few W/Bw and a few white Ameraucana, and a small flock each at friend's farm of Lavender/black and B/B/S Ameraucana and the production/exhibition cross Jersey flock is their egg sale flock. Still wanting a few exhibition style Orpingtons and fancy but fun breeds. With the APA breeds I put a lot of pressure on standard quality so can hardly wait for a tolbunt silly Polish, and some interesting Legbars or Rodebars..Etc.,. Just for sheer pleasure!! That is what makes this little group so much fun. It is like a little incubating 'support group" where nobody really plans to get well/better!

Nope I have 4 breeding cottages of d'Uccles and a coop with LF and a mini coop with 7 LF.
