I have no idea what those Are. I would say Hedemora but I'm pretty sure all my heddles have yellow eyes.

Blue x Blue = 50% blue 25% Black 25% Splash
Blue x Black = 50% Blue 50% Black
Black x Splash= 100% Blue
Splash x Splash= 100% Splash
Blue x Splash = 50% Blue 50% Splash
Black x Black = 100% Black

You can't really go wrong with having some of both

that Hedemora that I have is already all fluffy ish this isn't at all. Your getting that one, by the way. I am not buying an air conditioner for a chicken. And y'all know I love my chickens.... BUT

I think I would take two blue hens and one splash and the roo if you are looking for a quad. That way you are less likely to get a preponderance of splashes. Unless that is what you are aiming for, guess it depends but thats what I would choose.

Also, I wanted your opinions about this chicken. I hatched it from an egg labelled Wheaten Marans- I have never really seen one, and definitely not in this vulture stage (ugly preadolescent stage)
I am aware it is a cockerel, but is it a wheaten? Anyone want it

OK I know this is like 300 posts BACK but that is a mix of something. The legs are the wrong color and so is the bird. Not a cuckoo, not a copper and not like any wheaten I have ever seen.... very ODD looking.

Ok, finally got through the 800+ posts I have been trying to catch up on and am sure there will be 60 more by the time I type this....

RBAuction - Bad news for me, another thing I am now addicted to watching, haven't won any bids yet...I am careful to not bid on any I know have BYC Swappers as high bidders, why drive up the price when they will eventually offer the eggs

Mystery GFF chicks - no clue but hope it turns out to be some crazy rare imported breed that no one even knows they are getting yet. Then you can put on RBA and get $1700 to support your chicken addition.

He who shall not be named - Sent Wheaten Marans eggs and they where rotten! Didn't even risk putting in the incubator, this is a picture of it candled right out of the box! The black spots were bacteria that looked like black mold when I cracked it open. I did dispute my PP to him for one he claimed from my swap of his I claimed and did get it refunded but the others PP is "investigating"



I use a mini mag LED light it is 245 lumens and even came with a "anti roll" thing for the end that is the perfect shape for eggs plus it doesn't get hot, I love it!

Madamwlf's shipping is awesome and her eggs are beautiful, unfortunately for me I had to pull the last egg out of the incubator today as it developed a blood ring. I was so sad!

The upsides of chicken life for me is that my DH has taken pitty on me and my lack of success with shipped eggs that he let me buy some birds. I picked up a pair of CCL's today that are bread out of a trio of GFF's birds, they are 4 months old.




And, I got a black copper marans rooster for my 3 BCM hens, he is so beautiful! I wish I had pictures of him standing up so you could see the full body pose but easier to catch them still at night I was told he is from Wade Jeanne/Bev Davis lines so we will see. His shanks have pretty heavy feathering but my hens have light feathering on theirs so I hope it comes to a happy medium on the chicks. Now waiting for quarantine to end so they can get at it.


Plus when I checked my eggs in the incubator I have 3 Sex Linked Marans, 3 White Leghorns, 22 Blue Marans, and 4 Barred Rocks growing from DMrippy and 2 Lakenvelders, 2 Icelandic, and 4 Goldencampines from Debs_flock growing strong

plus 11 BBS Orps for another BYCer so Tuesday should be a busy day of cleaning out the incubators from hatching in time to set eggs for NYD hatchalong...still lining up the eggs...Even though DH gives me a hard time about my birds he is always sending me new breeds and saying "you should get this". Then today he said, I could see you having 6 or 7 pens for different breeds,,,um ok I wont say no

Oh and we bought 2 Nigerian goats that we will be picking up in 2 weeks from the breeder so then my plate will be really full.

And so that my other furry ones are not left out here are my dogs (Tucker is an English Mastiff who is really ugly but sweet and Zoey is a Shitzu who is really cute but a brat and I love her). I also have a grey cat that I found as a kitten in an empty house and never found a home for her who now is a spoiled house cat named Pickles. Thankfully I have an awesome husband and 6 year old son who help take care of my ever growing pet population.
