Just added some pictures of some of my silkies in my current birds folder. These aren't all of my Silkies, but these are a few of the oldest ones. I also have several chicks growing out.

I LOVE my turkeys. I didn't think I was going to be THAT fond of them but they're fantastic!

I LOVED my turkeys. They had so much personality and where so friendly. I miss having them.

About flying; my naragansetts flew. In fact, they would roost on my husbands truck- hence why we no longer have them. The broad breasts don't fly. They are far to front heavy. Heritage breeds will though.
I am totally getting some more and just keepin their wings clipped to appease the old man.

I also wanted to say my broad breasteds would literally come up the the glass door and peck on it, and if I were to open it, they would walk in like they owned the place. They would walk around and churppp at me until I shooed them out- afraid of the monster poo.

See that is kind of where I am hanging. Several of my paypal's were claimed by this person. I guess I will go ahead and send just because my conscience is worth more than the shipping. Thanks!
I would send a note saying you are next up, as soon as all the swaps are fullfilled you can have these eggs.

But thats just me.

I c
I clip their flight feathers. l
heritage turkeys fly REALLY well. Mine go up the the roof and demand I stick my head out to say hello every morning as soon as they a re let out, and hang out in the oak trees above our house.

I'm hoping I don't have to clip their feathers because i like them to fly, but one day they try to sleep in those places, here comes the scissors.
