I logged on this morning and saw there were over 40 posts on the swap thread overnight. It was only 7:30am local time (Pacific for me). Looks like a few of us thought they'd start things early today. BButterfly, either she was fast on her computer or because she was one of three members who were on at the time, was able to claim multiple offers from CPL and Cjwaldon. Hey, could one of you give me a wake up call when you decide to do this again so I could join in too?

I am seriously thinking about moving to an area where I can have more land so I can have more chickens. I just asked my husband for a second coop for my birthday so I could house the Spring chicks that I will be hatching from my Spring eggs!

I am usually up all night during the week. I would be happy to give you a wake up call at 4:00am (your time) or so, whenever I see that they are starting up!

Lets say "someone" wants more swaps can a person trade thier swaps to that person????? Or would that just create chaos i.e. people just joining the thread to trade their swaps.

Do you mean unclaimed swaps? Like if I use up my 7 can I "buy" your unused? Or do you mean if I claim 6 eggs can I have them sent to someone else?

I think you are saying that you want to give SwapperX your unused swaps for a particular week, let's say 5. Then SwapperX would be able to make 12 swaps that week, and you would only make 2, correct? Being as I am the one who is tracking # of swaps and times, I can see that could get ugly fast. We have 74 swappers who have participated so far, and we add new ones almost every day. Trying to figure out who has how many swaps as they are all different could be a nightmare. I don't have THAT much downtime at night.

As BHep and crazypetlady said, you can claim something and have it sent to SwapperX, but then your items would be up for grabs. You could put SwapperX's items in your offer, as long as you make it very clear that is where they are coming from. But I would think you would still be responsible to make sure the swap was completed.

Ok... I would also have to say NAY to swapping swaps. WAYYYyy to much confusion.

I am all for sending a swap to whom ever you choose and of course as KYTinpusher says... if you already have prior agreements / arrangements, certainly offer up eggs from " a friend".

Agreed, I think if you swapped swaps for more swaps then you could get in over your head real fast. I think 7 is enough in a week.

I'm in the Pacific Northwest and have decided that the next time I get chicken money I'm going to set my clock for NY time! Argh you early birds are soooo quick, LOL! I vote 7 swaps just the way it's set up now so it doesn't get out of control confusing and overwhelming....not that I even get close to that many.....YET!


Crazypetlady, might I make a suggestion that you list all members who can clear new swappers on the bottom of the RULES page for easy access for all? Just thought it might remove an obstacle for the new folks.
