Oooh! She's beautiful!!! And now I'm sad -- none of mine are going to make it, I'm pretty sure. Maybe one... They're supposed to go into lockdown tonight and none of them look like an 18-day chick

Just put 24 Salmon Faverolles, 6 Norwegian Jaerhon and 12 CCL in lock down. I have one more day of school and then off for 2 weeks. I am hoping to be here to see MANY hatch. I'm determined to be optimistic!! All were shipped eggs... Sometimes they do fine and sometimes I get nothing. I think it depends on how "nice" the USPS was to them in route. I am asking Santa for a high hatch rate for Christmas

I have bantams also...but believe it or not, I only hatched hens !!

And Beth, all those chickens and no roo for them? What?!?! I totally understand though, I had to go and find a roo for my lemon cuckoos and my lavenders, and make a trade for a MF duccle hen cause all I had was roos for the MF Duccles!!

Thank you Secret Santa, 'o Mine! I love my hand painted blue eggs, just beuatiful. They went straight onto the Christmas tree. Love love love them.

I need a Rhodebar roo.... I think all the chicks I picked up are pullets

She gave the roos away so no more eggs to hatch one. I also have the same problem with my BLUE rocks... no roos. I hatched 3 blue rocks 1 roo and 2 pullets, the roo died and the pullets all had white ear lobes..... SAME with my GNH.... no GNH roo.... they are with my reg NH roo. I sold all of my reg NH and gave the roo away only to find out all the GNH roos have split wing, and so far no real luck hatching any eggs either.

GNH are on the chopping block for next year depending on what hatching out from my NEW Spring eggs.

Can't wait to see how many Marans hatch, this is the first batch from the Blue Copper roo that died suddenly.

I can't figure out WHO would have sent painted eggs....... hum..... don't tell... it is a secret LOL
