Umm...yes. o.o There's a little chocolate hen in there with him but I didn't mention her because she's acting normal. He's walking around and around in circles going ah ah ah ah ah ah ah and making a big circular shape in the sand with his left wing. He sounds like the Cadbury bunny in the Easter commercials....so that's some sort of breeding/mating call of some sort? Weird. Thank you for the information, good to know. I thought something was wrong w/him and after the day I've had with missing birds in the mail - didn't really want something wrong with the ones I do have. Neat - so he's courting her?

I saw this video of a silkie roo doing this awesome dance. I was amazed, never knew they danced like that too. He was going in circles.

Sounds like he is struttin' his stuff. My little Serama roo has 5 hens in with him and the first time I saw him do his "dance" I thought he was having a seizure. Scared me to death. His little feet were going a mile a minute too. Kind of looked like he was trying to be "Lord of the Dance."

Yay! Something to be happy about today then, on an otherwise sad day.

And yes, I guess it sort of looks like a dance...but when you don't know what you're looking at it looks like a cockerel with an injured wing and sounds like he has a bunny stuck in his throat.

Brookhaven - they are Serama too. =] His feet weren't really fast, it was sort of a weird tripping over his own feet and well..in all honesty sort of drunk looking because his whole body was tipped sideways with one wing in the dirt...strangest thing I've seen in a while.

He's stopped doing it now and is feeding his face.

i'm back!!!!   Just spent the last three weeks running an X-mas tree lot and have had no time to chat.  I see this forum has been rolling right along.  Looking forward to sipping hot coco and catching up.    Doubt I will be able to read through the 200+ pages I missed but I will certainly scan the photos..  LOL   Hope everyone is doing well!

Okay folks, I was up virtually all night and all day waiting for chickens that never came. I'm going to head to bed now (even though it's only 6pm) and finally try to play catch-up with zzz-land. I hope with all hopes that phone rings at 3am to tell me they came in the first shipment (but I doubt it). I'm still sending up prayers and well wishes for Cj and Papa that your chicklets will make it through the USPS tardiness as well. I'll check for updates in the morning.

Maybe the PO is moving into high gear, though - I just checked and my Secret Santa gift finally made it to Cincinnati. Should be here tomorrow!

Okay. I have a hatching addiction/problem. Someone contacted me out of the blue, asked me how my fertility rate was, and told me that the last eggs she set had low fertility, so she was giving me a refund. Before I even got back to her, she had given me a refund. I let her know that I had 3 chicks developing from the dozen and she said others reported 2 and 6. Well, I've already swapped the money away for more eggs...

What is wrong with me? lol...
