That's what I'm trying to find out.

He's going ah ah ah aha really fast...and then a long, drawn out wwaahhhhh (like the Charlie Brown teacher) and then ah ah ah ah ah ah ah again.

no, my 5 month old cockerel, I think there is something wrong with him. He's dragging his wing in a big circle and going "Ah ah ah ah ah ah waaaahhhh...ah ah ah ah".

no, my 5 month old cockerel, I think there is something wrong with him.  He's dragging his wing in a big circle and going "Ah ah ah ah ah ah waaaahhhh...ah ah ah ah".

Yikes, sorry I don't know. Does he look like he is painful or just kinda crazy?

Came home to 6 new chicks.

Last night I locked down 6+ NJ, 12+ CCL and 24 SF. This morning there was not so much as a pip. This evening there are 5 Salmon Faverolles and 1 Norwegian Jerhon. Many more are pipping but nothing on the CCL yet. I'm hoping they are just slow hatchers.I'm so excited. I hatched some NJ a couple weeks ago and all were girls and YES this one is a girl also.... but that's fine with me!! I will be posting lots of pictures so you guys can help me divide in to boys and girls. Hope everyone is having a good evening. I hope all the lost eggs and chicks are safely home....

He doesn't look like he's in pain, no...and he really doesn't look crazy. He's walking around in circles dragging his wing and going ahhhh ah ah ah ah ah...kind of sounds like the Cadbury bunny...

Umm...yes. o.o There's a little chocolate hen in there with him but I didn't mention her because she's acting normal. He's walking around and around in circles going ah ah ah ah ah ah ah and making a big circular shape in the sand with his left wing. He sounds like the Cadbury bunny in the Easter commercials....so that's some sort of breeding/mating call of some sort? Weird. Thank you for the information, good to know. I thought something was wrong w/him and after the day I've had with missing birds in the mail - didn't really want something wrong with the ones I do have. Neat - so he's courting her?
