Quick update on the power outage while the SFHs were hatching - all 5 of them survived and are doing great! Soooo happy!!!!

I'll post a pic of them later when I uncover the laptop. My house is in complete disarray. We're having furniture delivered and have our living room full of all the furniture to be moved out. The laptop is hidden in there somewhere.

My silkie/SG pen certainly has been able to produce large numbers of SG's. I can't tell you how many eggs I hatched before I managed to get two.

It's 10:30 and I haven't started cleaning yet!! Its cold out today (28) and I have 50+ chicks in my kitchen. I keep telling myself I can not turn on the vacuum because it will scare them......

Does anyone have a general idea about how much space I will need for NJ? I now have 3 roosters and 11 hens. For SF - I have 18 but do not know if they are boy or girl????

some mashed up boiled eggs can tied everyone over till you can get to the feedvwtore im sure you can find some eggs around there some where lol or even scrambled if you dont want to boil.
I understand lonely. If you have a kid in kindergarden or lower hunt down a local. MOPS group, mothers of pre schoolers, you can have older kids as long as one kid is k or younger, they usually provide breakfast and childcare and a few hours a month of mom time theres a small fee like 25 a year to join if you like it you can go a few times to decide. Some might have a small monthly fee to help with chilr fare but not all do mine didnt, you cqnvlook online at thete sight i think for the one nearewt you.
