Not your fault, it was a wish and prayer to try and save the other three, I'm surprised they even developed how bad off they were. Can't wait to post pictures of the babies in a few weeks

We train Beagles and currently have 16 we are working with. They are all 4-5 months old so technically still puppies. This afternoon one of the fast little buggers got through the gate and into the pen with my Australorps. She was like a bolt of lightning! Thought it was a game. Until my pullet rounded the corner and the chase was on. She caught one by the tail and pulled it COMPLETELY OFF!!!! She does not seem to have any broken bones, just scared to death and tail-less. It was raw and bead lightly, I doctored her and let her back with the flock. Do u think she will be ok? If I would have had the camera and could have remained calm, I could have got some great roo flapping pict. For the NYD contest:rolleyes:

Just make sure she isn't bleeding/bloody spot or your other chickens will literally pick her to death. Other than that, keep an eye on her that she isn't shocky from the experience.

And yes, I'm sure there were lots of photo ops!

There was no "blood" more like a raw spot. I put antibiotic ointment on it She is on roost tonight, but still quiet and acting too docile. Worried a little now.
