yep what she said. normally when someone starts a new color for a breed it's a project. They are not recognized by the APA and most will take a long time unless there are several dedicated breeders to breed toward the standards and take them to shows and get qualifying shows for them. Can be a long process. But there is something about a purple bird laying dark eggs that sounds really neat!

A new color, a new "type" genetics in general is extremely fascinating. All new things begin somewhere. I can see where it would be a long process and then getting others involved......

Wow. I feel really strange right now. I guess the person who tried to win the quad auction just opened a BYC account and just contacted me and said tht they were the one that bid against me on RBA. Then went on to ask if I'd be breeding and selling because they're interested in them. The only way they could know that is by looking on here because my RBA name is different than my BYC name. Wasn't sure how to really approach it without sounding too angry.

Mine just crawl up on my chest and hold my arms down so I can't type when they want attention. They're very direct like that
