No, it's more stress than money. For about the same cost as one juvenile pair from GFF, you can import lots of eggs. Then look at the money you could be making in about six months when you start selling hatching eggs. I would totally do this if only I had the personality to take on the customs peoples. But a leader and a fighter I am not. I'll just have to offer support to whoever is willing to take on a partner?

I was a Social Worker for the Division of Family Services Children's Hotline Division. A negotiator and a fighter I can be.... That part does not worry me at all.

I'm open to any breed. I just think it would be a unique experience to have something completely new to the US. My husband will retire at 55 and I could retire at any time. I want a PROJECT for us to do together. I would like to be set up before he retires (3 years)

I think the worst part is the night before, envisioning your 2k worth of dead animals. But you'll probably be dealing with hatching eggs and not super fragile shrimp that come from volcanic lakes.
ALSO!!!! Do not do a group buy for your first import. You'll get super anxious because then it's not just your money you are dealing with, but other peoples too. Anxieties out the roof!

Can you tell I'm tweeking out just from remembering? Importing, it's not fun. But, it is doable. Just promise me you'll get a customs broker.

Yes, definately would not want to partner on the first shipment. I would hope eggs or chickens would NOT be as fragile as "shrimp from volcanic lakes -(OMG) There just seems to be a book worth of information I need to know before I begin. I have found rules that negate other rules. Rules that cancel other rules .....and on and on....
