Excellent info. I will pack any eggs I ship vertically with pointy end down. So much good advice her from everyone. Thank you!

Me too. I'm hoping for some that can ship this week or next as well.

What are you looking for???

Breda breed like that too. They're BBS and the splash are so gorgeous in particular..
I love Breda! I have five young ones, two black and three blue, only downside is it takes SO long to tell gender. My three oldest are almost four months and I still have no clue!

So can you call the offspring splash blue isbar, or black blue Andalusian? Then it would be the proper name... I have always wondered that too. I have only noticed it in the hatcheries, then you see their disclaimer... And I think to myself, why wouldnt they just offer it as BBS. Or just ship the blues like the title infers!!

I am reading still so this may have been answered but they would be

Splash Isbar
Black Andulusian

and so on.

Same with all breeds, Marans come in Blue, Black and Splash and then Blue Copper, Black Copper and Splash Copper. BLRW are the same.....

Good morning. I had a stressful night. I don't handle my kids being sick well... And my one year olds croup has changed to serious congestion, so I am freaking out about the chance of pneumonia. I spent most of the night watching the boy breath, like it was going to make me feel better:rolleyes:

I am going through the same thing. My granddaughters have bronchitis so it may not be as bad as pneumonia.

You should be able to tell by now.. cockerels have definite wattles and pullets will have only the barest hint of them.

Keep in mind snakes can climb anything. The snake that got my pullet can in over the top.
I've read that if you put hardware cloth or something similar 3ft high on the sides, they cannot get a grip in order to climb...that is essentially what snake fencing is also. I guess its a different story of there is a tree or something overhanging, then they can drop in from above...
