I see that CPL has been behaving herself

Yeah, haven't seen hide nor hair of her today.

Just would need a trio really. I love them, just have a bigger love for the orps. And Isbars. I am pretty sure I did not get any sulmtalers in my shipments... however I am having trouble deciding if I got some more rhodebars in the last 2 shipments, or are they CCL? How hard is it to tell them apart when they are little?

I have no idea. Are the Rhodebars the ones that look like CCL when full grown? At least the roosters do.

Hey y'all- I know many of us have shipped plenty of eggs in our time, but I wanted to share this for the newer shippers. Please don't pack eggs like this! I am not doing this to make anyone feel bad, nor will I share who these eggs are from(NOTE: Not from this swap!). I just want to turn my sad discovery into a learning opportunity for others. It took receiving a few boxes like this before I learned how I like to pack eggs. No one is perfect! But packing methods are important!

If you do a search here on BYC, you can find SO MANY great packing methods. Please please please use one of those!


I like to wrap each egg in tiny bubble wrap, taped up snug, then put in a carton all together, then tape around the carton, then big bubble wrap the carton and around to fill the space with really anything that has a little give.  Some times I will just put the individually wrapped eggs embedded in cushy packing materials. Depends on what I have around, but the end result is the same- one or two may be damaged due to rough handling, but those are the extras, and the ones in the middle should hatch.

Hey All! I shipped these eggs and it was infact the first time I've shipped eggs. Took the advice of another when I did them. I will ship new ones out. I feel horrible

didn't they give you a list on the inside top of your box? when I received a mix they banded them and then wrote the breeds by color band on the inside of the top of the box they came in. Don't know if they are still doing that?

It's okay. Shipping eggs is a huge learning experience. As long as you learn from your mistakes, then everything is fine. Welcome to the world of egg shipping.

Then the sumtalers are the only ones not covered. Maybe GFF will ship some of those eggs to me. Just day dreaming here.

They have been slipping in recent times.
