I'm late, I'm late! setting eggs, that is. I'm simply going to have to be late, too -- I do NOT have even temps in my 'bator yet, top to bottom. I need to rip apart and put in a second light at the top. Ah well!!!

Also, the taking of eggs and then deciding against them. I can understand that feeling (heat of the moment and all), but I would just hatch the eggs and try to sell/eat any chicks I don't want. Those trades could have originally gone to someone that really wanted them.

It's probably just me, but I also don't agree with grabbing trades for someone else. It doesn't seem to bother anyone else, so I just shut up about it. This is the internet, I'm fairly thick skinned about things that happen on a forum. (My DH might not agree based on grumbling he's heard from me while surfing, LOL) If I don't like something, I can just take my toys and go home, oh wait, I already am home

When claiming trades for someone else, it just makes it that much harder for one person to get what they are looking for, particularily if you add in the problems of different time zones, etc. Of course I solved my problem by going directly to the person and doing side swaps or just outright buying what I wanted.

So, whatever you all decide for rules is fine by me, just my .02 cents.

You're assuming ebay seller is taking delivery of the eggs to begin with. When someone claims from me I have no idea who they are or where they live. I just ship the eggs where they tell me to.

Well, we do know for a fact one individual who was taking delivery of the eggs and reselling them on Ebay. Very unethical.

Ah, hadn't thought of that. I guess I just tend to take people at their word, until proven otherwise...................I do have an excellent memory, even at my advanced age!

I did sell 8 rare frogs to a guy in FL once. He told me how excited he was to raise/breed them. He then turned around and listed them for resale at a higher price and even used my original photos to advertise them. Irritated the heck out of me, but then he paid enough that my DH and I took a cruise in the Carribean, so what the heck!

I just meant how old the eggs are changes if unethical swapper has eggs delivered directly to the ebay buyer (doesn't take delivery or reships). For example, I claim spring eggs for rare breed chicken. I then sell them on ebay for spring delivery. When swapper tells me eggs are ready, I have them shipped directly to the ebay purchaser, in the spring. (And please don't think my example means I'm guilty.)

Wow, didn't know frogs were worth so much. But then I never imagined I'd ever in a million years spend what I now do on chickens.

There seems to always be a bad egg in every bunch. When you get rid of one another shows up!

Unfortunate that this has happened but at least it's known and can be dealt with.
