Quote: I just had several upset conversations with several different postal workers. I had two pairs of ducks coming to me express mail. They had their departure scan yesterday (no time of course) but obviously it doesn't take 12 hours to fly halfway across the country. I started making phone calls to the sort center this morning at 9 am. I know the last truck comes up the hill at 6am. NO ONE would answer a phone, so I left a VM on three different numbers "this is my name, address, conf#, phone number. Call me, I want to drive down and pick them up from the sort center and not wait until tomorrow." At 10am the website updated to say they had departed the center. I called the local PO at 10 and was told the express truck comes in around 12:30. I called at 1, no truck yet. I called at 2, no truck yet. I called at 3 and said, I need to know where they are. If I have to drive to the sort center, it's an hour at least and the window closes at 5. They put someone else on the line......................."we don't get an express truck during the day"......................I said, find my shipment NOW!............Yup, they made calls and my ducks were still down the hill. I then drove through commuter traffic 3 hours RT, had a few angry words at the pickup window........:"sorry, we know nothing"................and now I'm back home.
Fortunately, the only thing frayed were my nerves.

I'm so glad Rachael's are safe and sound! One down, two to go? Anyone else have late chicks lost in the mail?
