As of last night, 2 of the SFHs from BHep had hatched and the other 4 were all pipped internally. I woke up this morning to a power outage and rushed in to check on them. I have no idea how long it was out, but the bators were COLD. The 2 that hatched last night were very cold and huddled together, but are ok. One chick died in the shell
and the three remaining were alive but wet and very weak with pieces of shell clinging to them. I did my best to keep them warm with air-activated heat packs. The power came back on about an hour later and I put them all in and had to leave for work. I am so stressed wondering if they're ok.
