Well chicks arrived .... At the wrong PO! Though seller responded to my email about PayPal randomly using an old address, he never actually changed the shipping label. Thank god I have friends who are visiting tomorrow who can pick up the chicks for me and drive them the 2 1/2 hrs to the right address! I could hear chirping on the phone but should have a report in an hour or two from my friends.

So glad they showed up. Sounds like a shipper error.

Oh good heavens! Yeah, I finally learned to go through my paypal account and delete everything but my current address -- it likes doing that. Paypal is both incredibly convenient and incredibly obnoxious. Here's hoping all your new peepers arrive strong and healthy!

Did that now. Ha ha found out i had about 5 addresses in there from up to 9 years ago. Oh my! Worst thing is I caught it prior to seller getting electronic shipping info. Sent him 2 messages and he responded but apparently never actually fixed it. Frustrating but hoping for a happy ending.
Now just waiting or eggs to appear.

Is this what people like quail for? I can't see plucking and cleaning a tiny bird like that for meat... but they are pretty prolific layers and don't require much space... Maybe I could get some >.> Of course, DH would flip a wee bit!

I don't have quail so I wouldn't know. I couldn't processes something so small. I do plan to make deviled eggs out of my silkie eggs.

I am so glad this snow storm has kept me home from work! I am going about every hour to moisten membranes on chicks. I did have to brave the snow to run to the PO to pick up my eggs from papa brooder. All the way from CA and they look great! 9 eggs arrived intact and nicely packaged.
