Okay, to those of you raising roaches, my chickens look at roaches the same way I do. Bluck!

So if they won't eat a common house roach, will they also snub dubia roaches?

oh no, I just saw an ebay auction for Madagascar HISSING roaches. Just want I want, roaches with attitude. Hissssss . . . . .

My chickens love them. I have really large tweezers I use to feed them individual roaches or sometimes I pour a few inside a large rubber bowl. It moves, it's gone. It may take them time to figure out they are food.

It's probably just a matter of it being unfamiliar, once they try them, they'll like them.

I thought I might be game to trying to raise some, but hubby had a complete fit. He said he is already dealing with mealworms and CHICKS in the house - he refuses to bring in roaches

So I figure I won't rock the boat.

I'm giving up mealworms to do roaches. So much easier and they breed quicker too.

It could be worse, tell him I've had termites shipped to me for my frogs. And I've dug through old firewood piles to collect them. You want me to post a link on how to culture them? LOL
