Yes... all the pullets will be chocolate and the roos will be split. It works kinda like Lavender does... but it is sex linked.. .meaning it is on the genes for roos.... that is why the pullets will be chocolate they only have one copy. The roos will only have one copy. Breed the pullets back to the choc roo and you will have 100% Chocolates after that......

If they came from GFF it sounds pretty NORMAL.... NO COMMUNICATION!

In my experience it's normal. I won some chicks from GFF a couple of times and they stated in the auction they would send them within 2 weeks. There was really no communication about when I wanted them, it was simply an email that they were sent with the tracking number. It worked out for me as I work from home and am very flexible but I can also see how someone would need to arrange things.
As a side note I'm very happy to say that 4 of the eggs I won from them were from the breese pens and all 4 are developing nicely!

DMRippy, I just followed all the links in your signature. I am in awe. I had already come across your pallet pens (hubby and I will be mimicking). You are so creative! I HAVE a 4000 sqft barn half full of pallets and scrap wood.... MAYBE in the Spring I can build some or at least some grow outs for roos..... I really need to be eating my birds and not giving them away.
