SCBirdfarm here has beautiful LF White Cochins and I believe they do ship. If not, I can go get them and ship them to you.

On another note, you are in one of my favorite areas of the country! How far are you from North Conway?

Wow, thank you! I'll give them a try. I'm between Manchester and the Portsmouth. Its great as I can get to the coast in 1/2 hr and the mountains in about 1. North Conway is probably a 1 3/4 hour drive from me, its fairly far north.

WAIT!!! I have been dying to buy white cochins forever!!! Do they sell egg?:)

Good morning. I lost my good blue cochin bantam rooster to a coon. I have lost 6 Cochins this fall to a coon. I only have two left. Still sad, but I am very grateful he didn't get my black frizzled hen. She is very good quailty, even as a frizzled. The BCM where in the same roost the coon got into, and they are all ok too. Guess I am going to be building a new coop/roost today.

I got them!!!!!!!!! Well Jenny must have been listening to some feeback because they're in superb condition! The packing looks pretty rad to e honest but to be fair they're feathered out. These are definitely young juveniles. Ill take pictures and post them when I get home!!!!!!!!!!!

So glad they arrived safe and sound.

In order to find the best method, would you mind telling me how you cull day olds when they are born deformed? I have two Coronations that hatched late and dragging their bowels. (I have already culled. I'm not letting them suffer.) I'm just trying to find the best method for me.

It seems like anytime I have a really late hatcher that it is defective. I'm about to decide anything over a day late, and out the eggs go to the pigs or wildlife.

For those of us who cannot use the scissor method to cull a chick I found these 2 articles and thought it might be helpful.

So sorry to hear. I just lost one of my BR roos a few days ago. He was fine one day and gone the next.

Came back from the PO about an hour ago to pick up my first order of hatchery chicks for the 2013 swap season. Not pretty Meyer didn't include a heat pack and only 12 made it. One is barely clinging too. You would think that since they replace their birds it would be in their best interest to do so, heck if they offered it I'd pay a couple of bucks extra. I'm sure they'll make it right but just not a fun way to start the day.

Aww, so sorry. That is a really bad way to start the day. What breeds did you order?
