Wish I could send you some eggs! Our fridge is overrun, I'm running out of collection trays and my incubator is getting full. Next week, everything goes. Some of the laying hens, all of the eggs that I don't want to set and any chicks that I'm not keeping.

You have to start somewhere. I start with 10 birds. I'm over 50 with adults, juvies and chicks.

Mine started with "free chick day" at Coastal. You were supposed to get 5 free chicks with a feed purchase. The "chick girl" gave me 8. "5, 8, you can't have too many chicks," she said.
