What frogs? Used to raise about ten or fifteen different cultures of live foods when I raised fish and had like 20-30 fish tanks. After my divorce, I had to give most away. Parents made me sell the 72g bowfront and it still makes me sick to think about it. The guy wanted my 65g as well, but only wanted to pay me $175 for both... He was already getting a massive deal on the 72, $175 for the tank, oak stand, ecogravel and ALL of my accessories. The accessories alone were slocer to $200 on their own, not the cheap crap from walmart, but imported medicines, breeding supplies and stuff like that. :(

I've met up with people in parking lots with chickens, hatching eggs, frogs, fruit fly cultures, springtail cultures.....and who knows what else, it always feels  like a drug deal...............

I'm meeting someone tomorrow at a feed store to pickup a trio of POL chickens........................I'll post pictures when I get "them",

I'd be afraid they'd escape and infest my house or something! I've never seen a "wild" one, only in the pet store, and I think I'd rather keep it that way!
They won't breed below a certain temperature. They couldn't stand the Md winters so I'm not worried about that at all.

Quote: uumm yeah NO.... I live in FLORIDA we have them naturally....... hate em

Quote: Heck no you dont have to ask.............of course you can come down here. Oh and tell your friend if they want more we have a few 2012 buffs who are looking pet quality and need a home.

Just had a call from a customer (not chicken related) she called us at 7pm on Christmas eve in a panic, her daughters hamster had died that morning. (we had an add for bunnies running before Christmas) She wanted to know would we open for her come get a bunny for Christmas. 10 minutes later after hanging up she was pulling in, we uncovered the bunnies and she spent time looking them over making a selection. Well todays call was to tell us how thrilled the entire family is with this rabbit. He is 8 weeks old now and fully little box trained and runs to the little girl when he sees her so he can sleep in her lap.

and this is why we have a farm and open at odd hours.

Oh, that is wonderful!!! There really is no feeling like it, is there?

I "gave away" some of my hens last spring ($5 for all three -- nominal fee) -- two very sweet NH red girls who didn't lay well and were constantly picked on by my other hens, and an older barred rock who was down to one egg a week. They were picked up by a woman whose 7 year old son already had a NH roo and hen and wanted a third to enter in his local fair trio competition. The barred rock (now "Rock") slept on his lap the whole way home -- and she sent me pics from the fair where he won first prize in his age division! Little boy with HUGE grin hugging a big red chicken -- it was great!

20? I can't remember when I only had 20. That's like remembering when I was a size 6. It lasted about the same amount of time.

LOL!!!

Hey, I'm back down below 20! Took quite a bit of work, but I currently only have 4 hens, 12 pullets, and one roo! Oh, and thirty-one? thirty-two? chicks in the brooder. And three more in the incubator still. So that's only... Wait, let me see... Oh man, this is like watching the bathroom scale, it keeps creeping upward...
