I think Susan might just get a new pair of Amers... She is REALLY pretty, but I only have two... If I could find a couple more stared pullets I would keep them

yep black to Lav to strengthen the coloration. The black female chicks from a Black roo over Lav hen will black split to Lav, if put with a Lav roo will give some Lav off spring.

Right...all resulting chicks from black roo over lav hen will be black BUT the chicks will all carry the lav gene..no need for the pure black dad now...mate brothers and sisters and you will have 1/2 lavs 1/4 pure blacks again and 1/4 splits again. ( you cannot visually tell the difference between the pure blacks and splits...so I sell them all after I start getting lots of lavs to work with) Mate a split roo to its momma and you'll get 75% lavs...I could keep going :D

I regret ever selling my Lav stock off........biggest mistake I ever made as the woman doesnt appreciate what she got

Me too. I LOVED mine...I had an animal attack...no idea what kind...killed off A LOT of everything including most of my lavs :(. So I sold off my last two girls to someone who I knew would house them right and take care of them..I saw their accommodations and they are living it up!!! :D. But...I do have a few folks on here that owe me lav eggs in spring :D. I just love them!!,
