Good Morning -

As I was reading the 170 or so post I missed yesterday I came across a conversation about horse bedding and something in the horse line that helped with smell.... Now I can't find it. (go figure) Can someone tell me the names of what it was without me having to go back over the post again?

Found it - Sweet PDZ and horse pellet bedding......In case anyone else wants to know. Also found it is on sale today at TSC...

Can anyone here explain paint silkie color genetics? I see them most of the time in pens with white and black but sometimes other colors too. Will a group of only paint silkies produce other colors? Do you need to keep them with other colors for some reason?

Paints don't breed true. In order to keep all the characteristics: black skin, beak and toes it is best to put a a paint roo over black hens or a black roo over paint hens. And you still could hatch other colors. My roo is black but he's from a paint breeding. My hens are paint. All I have hatched at paints and blacks so far.

I remember the conversation but not the product. Sorry.

Equine fresh is the bedding. We used it for our rabbits and it worked the best.
