morning everyone! well started giving spent grain from a local brewery...any tips? I froze it in 1 gal bags n deep freeze. should I mix with layer etc? what have y'all seen as best for the flock Burr still cutting cost on feed bill.

I thought I found a few more Tolbunt hens that are already laying age. But she is asking 350 per hen, a little out of my budget. My poor roo will just have to wait on the others to grow up some more.

I have a confession to make. I should have said something sooner, but I had to see the reactions I would get.
If you get White Orpington eggs from me, I really did not send you lavender eggs, I promise!  The white orps do not hatch out white or yellow. The look grayish/silvery in color. Sorry, everyone, I should have warned you, but I couldn't help myself! :lau

I did research ahead of time on the chicks colors so no surprise for me. Although I still am unable to tell the difference between blue and lavender. What are the differences of each? Need something other then pics. :idunno

usually the blue will be a lot darker and lav will be a lot lighter in olor. I get the splash and lavs mixed up more at first, then I do the the blue and lavs.

There is something wrong with me...
I am addicted to this thread.
Instead of enjoying my morning I keep coming back here wishing there were more posts.
