I have had horses since I was two, have trained and ridden all sorts of horses I was too stupid to stay off of, but the only thing I have ever had broken is my nose...twice...both times by one of my dogs!

Oh, ouch! but I have almost had my nose broken a couple of times by them in the greeting dance...I'm bending down to pet the same time as they are bouncing up. saw stars and landed on my Butt. so I know how easilly it can happen.

poor you...hope the black eyes are not too noticable.

Ugh. The incubator toll was calculated. Four shipments of eggs, so $64 lost for them. Plus my own eggs. Some of the chicks from my own eggs had interested buyers too. Add to that the cost of replacement and it just rubs a LoT of salt into the wounds.

Scratch that, two sets were gifts! Ugh, now I feel even worse for killing gift eggs!!!

I'm to the point of crying. I've had a bad headache today, so didn't check the incubator, which usually isn't a problem, but it just so happened to spike to 122. All 90 eggs are dead! I had my turkeys' first eggs, the last hopes of pekin duck eggs from my now dead drake, an assortment of eggs from the chicken ladies, and of course paint silkies, hen's choice silkies from the same person, my buff D'Uccles and BCM's from Ayeupchuck! Ninety babies in there and all dead now. :( I feel so selfish for not checking it this morning. I know they're "just eggs" but I had just pulled all of the infertiles, so there were two flats of definitely fertile eggs, most close to hatch, plus all of the now grey blobs that were going to be babies in the newly set eggs. I feel like a mass chick murderer.

:hugs I can send you more in a few weeks!

Does anyone have Barthuhners? I've got an interesting offer from GFF (repeat customer) only one though and it might be good for a breeding program.
