Ok everyone, would love to have y'alls opinion on this guy! I think he is beautiful, but I am biased. I tried to take pic from all angles. If it is not an Orp or an AM they are still pretty new to me. Not that I am not learning still on orps and Ams, but I have learned a good bit about them and what to look for.

I'm sorry, but your roo simply isn't up to standard at all. Yes, he's superficially appealing but there are far too many flaws to make this a bird worth keeping. I'd strongly suggest removing him from your flock as soon as possible. In the interests of supporting your endeavors, I'd be willing to take him off your hands. You can ship him whenever you'd like.

Mine have been out in all weather as adults. They didn't like the snow when they flew out and landed in snow that was 8 inches deep but I don't use any extra heat in the coop, no insulation and the window is always cracked open and the door outside in the floor is never shut. I think you will be OK. They might not like below zero for extended times, but I think it is more what they are used to, and you might have to vaseline the combs if it is moist and cold to prevent frostbite. That is true of any large combed bird though, I think.

Thanks for the insight! I really would like to keep them. They are not common around out area at all. As a matter of fact the only place I have seen them was at a show and they had traveled to get here. They would always have access to an indoor area that stays at least 38 degrees even in the coldest of weather. Now I really hope the rest hatch!! How old will they be before I can tell the sex of the chick?

I wuvs him. But the girl that I have for him is quite tiny. The guy I got him from had LF, but she is more like bantam. Very pretty but midget in comparison.

hmmmm....if I started driving now, I bet I could be back in time to get 4 hours of sleep before I had to go to work tomorrow....
