I have 4 eggs going into lockdown tonight.

what is lockdown? why am I not opening? humidity?

Yes, humidity. You want it to get high and stay high, but if you keep opening the incubator the humidity drops, which leads to shrink-wrapped, dead chicks. Trust me-it makes a big difference!

yes be excited this means I am shipping yours and her together at the top of the week most likely. I can safely divide the box so duckling/goslings ride on one side and chicks the other.

If anyone is expecting eggs from my Wheatens or a Mix.... please PM me. I just don't have the energy to go though all my pms.... sorry. OR if you were expecting other eggs I have not sent let me know that too.
Papa.. how is ALL Cuckoo Marans? Maybe 1 or 2 Sexlinked Marans? I don't know why those hens will not lay eggs regularly for me. They finished molting a couple of months ago

I just checked and I have 3 silkies from papabrooder pipped!  Going to be lots of hatching tonight!

Yay! Excited for you. I should have eggs hatching from dmrippey and groundpecker on Saturday. They will be my first eggs hatching from this swap. Exciting. Of course I have a new hatcher so I split the eggs between my old and new hatcher because I was too nervous putting them all in the new hatcher. We will soon see!

Thanks. these are my first eggs ever and it will honestly be a miracle if they actually hatch....everything has gone wrong. Broody abandoned them, then I paniced and might have cooked them waiting for the incubator. threw them into the incubator before it was even regulated and now their air pockets seem too big to me... but I still have tiny hope. One seemed to be moving a bit when I candled them tonight... so who knows. we will see.

these are all my own eggs, so not shipped or anything. and the fact that they grew at all I guess means that my roo is doing his job. So that is good!

My Mille Fleur Leghorns arrived this morning! I am so excited! I LOVE these birds! Pictures as soon as I can get them.

I assume you got them from Cheryl? I saw the pen of them this last summer at a party at her ranch. Beautiful birds, good luck with them.

Hatching babies!!

I have one silkie and 1 CCL hatched, lots more pipped and duck eggs to go into lockdown. I'm a bit nervous about those.

Would you like to try more silkie/SG eggs? I'm sorry your little one didn't make it. Of course the last two I hatched were both silkies, but I have around six more "cooking" at the moment.

I'm dying with no eggs cooking!

It's killing me that I don't have any due until the 22nd...................
